Homeless Children's Fund

No child should have to know what homelessness feels like.

Yet every night, over 1,100 children 11 years and younger are homeless in Multnomah County.

Make a difference in the life of a homeless child TODAY!

Children who become homeless with their families lose academic progress, school friends, their treasured belongings, their favorite teacher, their neighborhood buddies.

Help homeless children to gain all of these things back—by supporting the Homeless Children’s Fund.

Your donation will help a homeless child to stay at the Human Solutions’ Daybreak Shelter with their family—and with our help—return to a home, with friends, a favorite teacher, and
those neighborhood buddies in about 30 days.

Every year, hundreds of homeless children come to Human Solutions with their families seeking help. With the support of Human Solutions’ Daybreak Shelter for homeless families, job skills training for parents, connections to affordable housing for families, and on-site
resources, children and their families thrive and find their way out of homelessness.

$89.29 is needed in donations from PEOPLE LIKE YOU to provide shelter to one
homeless child for 30 days at our Daybreak Shelter – the average time it takes for a family to find a safe and stable home. The Shelter only receives about 10% of its funding from the government. As for the rest, 33% comes from churches, 45% comes from foundations, and the rest comes from people who care about the wellbeing of our community’s young ones. Help us raise the money necessary to help homeless children and their families this year!

PLEASE—GIVE TO THE HOMELESS CHILDREN FUND.
YOU can help children escape homelessness.

$30 a month for three months will help one child out of homelessness.
$30 a month for six months will help two children out of homelessness.
$30 a month for a year will help four children out of homelessness.
